Student Assistantships (studentische Hilfskräfte)
The Chair of Sociology, in particular Modeling and Simulations (SOMS) offers every semester a certain amount of paid student assistant positions. We are currently looking to hire 2 students that will assist Prof. Helbing with tasks related to the FuturICT Projekt http://www.futurict.eu.
The “FuturICT” project is a European flagship initiative that aims for "science to catch up with the speed at which new problems and opportunities are arising in our changing world as consequences of globalization, technological, demographic and environmental change, and make a contribution to strengthening our societies' adaptiveness, resilience, and sustainability" (www.futurict.eu). The flagship's Scientific Coordinator, Prof. Dirk Helbing, is hiring two student assistants that will assist him with FuturICT related tasks.

We are looking for highly motivated students with excellent qualifications in the following areas: (a) computational skills, (b) video cutting and production, (c) creation of high end graphics and professional presentation of scientific results, (d) maintenance and programing of websites, (e) writing news releases and maintaining social media channels
The student assistants will directly assist Prof. Helbing in day-to-day FuturICT related work.
