PathologyOpen OpportunitiesThe Mahmood Lab (faisal.ai) seeks applications for master's students interested in developing deep learning methods for pathology image analysis. We build large-scale foundation models to improve cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and biomarker discovery.
Selected students will work on histology representation learning, multi-modal fusion, survival models, among others. The developed methods will be applied to unique datasets collected at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Mass Gen Hospital (some of the largest hospitals in the world). The detailed description of the projects can be discussed and adapted according to the interest and profiles of the selected students.
The Mahmood Lab is located in the Division of Computational Pathology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. The lab is also affiliated with the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Mass General Hospital.
